March 6 Professional Development: Exploring artifacts
Artifacts: Please discuss with your partner your artifact/evidence
Please bring along an artifact that has provided evidence of something that you have learned in regards to mathematics since the beginning of the school year. For example, it might be a picture of a group of students, some notes that you recorded during a PD opportunity, an article that supported co-learning, a note from a student, a student conversation...the possibilities are endless (think: Triangulation of evidence - Conversation, Observation, Product). Please ensure that this artifact is something that you are comfortable talking about to others. The following questions will guide your conversation about the artifact with your peers:
• Describe the artifact.
• What does this artifact provide evidence of?
• In what ways does the artifact provide evidence about how you teach?
• In what ways does the artifact provide evidence about how you learn?
In what ways does the artifact connect to your Classroom Goal
Triangulation Tool: Think about how the artifact fits into the triangulation tool (conversations, observations, product)
